Buying a Home Requires Many Difficult Decisions. Make Sure Your real estate agent is a Top Local Expert. What is your reason for buying? Need more space? Want more prestigious location? Want to downsize and upgrade at the same time? Your home is probably the biggest purchase your family will ever make, and it involves many decisions that go beyond simply choosing one you like. My listings player on the right shows homes I have sold in the recent past---maybe they will give you some ideas. I specialize in finding homes in great condition that are great values and advise along the way how to really make that home a great investment. I have a program for handymen and investors who have different needs. A one hour personal consultation in my Arlington Heights office and my 20 page book House Buying 101 helps you quickly narrow your search to save you time finding the right home. In todays market with a "small inventory", I help you strategize to avoid being stuck in a bidding war and getting that home you want, (instead of letting someone else buy it out from under you.) Even if you start in Palatine and Arlington Heights, perhaps another area will better meet your needs. I sell regularly in over 20 communities and can show you what may meet your needs better. Here is how I will guide you through the entire process, from viewing homes and financing, to making sure the final contract is in your best interest: - You will have full access to ALL homes available in the NW suburbs, even listings not yet on the MLS. To make sure you do not miss any--I will email them to you daily as they come on the market. - Have you called before and heard, "Too late--that one already sold"? I can prevent that from happening. - My expert local knowledge of the Palatine and Arlington Heights area should be invaluable to you, not just in terms of real estate, but also schools, neighborhoods, the local economy, and more. - Every local real estate market absolutely has its own trends and opportunities. This can vary greatly, even one neighborhood to the next. Palatine, Arlington Heights, and the other NW suburbs are no different! It's my job to steer you into opportunities and out of traps. - Don't go into new construction without an agent --the builder wants to sell the homes he builds, I show you which ones over the long-term will increase in value the most. - What is the true market value of the home you are interested in? Is it priced too high? Is it a bargain that you should jump on? I help home buyers make decisions like this every day, and I'll make sure that YOU get the best value for your money. - Negotiating with sellers can be stressful. No worries---I do that for you, so the final contract includes your best possible terms and conditions. (I have a degree in win-win negotiating!) - You should know absolutely everything about the property you are buying! You and I will view every home that you are interested in, together. And prior to closing I will make you fully aware of any and all inspections available to you. - Have confidence when signing documents. Contracts are full of complicated terms and clauses that can greatly affect your future life in your new home. I will give you the full benefit of my real estate knowledge and experience. I have been a full-time Realtor since 1993. Call or email me today to put me to work finding your next home or performing a Market Analysis of your existing home. Good luck! Ask me any question about buying a home in Palatine and Arlington Heights. It's my job to help you! There's no obligation, and I promise to respond quickly...
Curb Appeal >Landscaping Your Home
Many buyers call a realestate office for information on a home after reading an appealing description of the property, or seeing a photograph of the exterior of the home on the real estates website. The exterior of your house and your yard will create the first impression for prospective buyers when they drive up to your house. Spending money on landscaping can bring you excellent returns when you sell your home.
You don't have to spend a fortune or develop an elaborate landscaping plan to make your front yard look terrific. If the yard is neatly mowed and trimmed and there are colorful plants blooming, the outside appearance of your home will make a good impression. A local nursery can help you select plants that will grow well and require minimal care. If you are planning to make any permanent changes or additions to your property, ask for advice from your real estate agent.
